The Happy’s Running Club (HRC) Happy’s 5000 is back! The Happy’s 5000 is a family fun event to celebrate running, camaraderie, and Baton Rouge! This historic event has not rolled since 2019. After the 5K, run or watch the highly competitive Beer Mile and festive costume contest! Then, enjoy the local vendors and downtown establishments. Due to the July date, this year’s race is themed, “Hotter than Hades”! Come support this locally loved race!

6:15 pm Beer mile - Competitive heat
6:30 pm Beer Mile - Non-Competitive heat and costume beer mile
Place: Starts in Town Square.

Prizes: The first 500 people to sign up will receive an engraved metal pint glass. The first 250 male and 250 female runners will receive a finisher coozie to go with the pint glass! Sweet, embroidered running bags will be given to the top ten male and top ten female 5K finishers, sponsored by Brooks Running! A new pair of shoes will also be given to the top male and top female beer mile competitive runner. Prizes will be given for the individual and group costume contest in the non-competitive heat.
