Starting a little work for the Block Mile

The Block Mile is scheduled for the evening of August 10th at the CHS track.

Like last year we had fun with some of Catholic High’s Coach Pete Boudreaux favorite workouts.

This workout is just a start toward that end. Start getting you in the groove of running shorter but a little faster.

Warm up Esplanade, Audubon to Seven Oaks.

Loop 1: 110 trying to emphasis running fast but controlled(so not a sprint)/110 walk. Repeat the 110 fast/walk the whole loop.

Loop 2: 110 trying to emphasis running fast but controlled(so not a sprint)/110 walk. Repeat the 110 fast/walk BUT EACH FAST 110 AS A CUTDOWN.

Loop 3: 220 trying to emphasis running fast but controlled(so not a sprint)/220 walk. Repeat the 220 fast/walk the whole loop.

Loop 4: 440 trying to emphasis running fast but controlled(so not a sprint)/Walk to finish the loop.

Cool down.
